Event Power Hire FAQ

Temporary Event Power – FAQs

Answers to common questions about hiring generators, temporary site power and distribution for events. For a tailored power plan, contact us .

What size generator do I need for my event?

Generator size depends on total load, startup currents, event duration and redundancy. We calculate this from your equipment list and always allow headroom to keep power stable and reliable.

Do you supply power distribution and cabling?

Yes – we supply full temporary power distribution including distro boards, H07RN-F rubber cabling, single phase and three phase outlets to suit stages, traders and site infrastructure.

Can you power multiple areas from one generator?

Absolutely. Using distribution boards and sub-distros we can safely power multiple zones such as stages, bars, traders, lighting towers and site cabins from a single generator where appropriate.

Are your generators suitable for live sound and lighting?

Yes – our event generators provide clean, stable power suitable for sensitive audio, lighting and video equipment, helping avoid noise, voltage drop or interference.

Do you provide delivery, setup and on-site support?

We offer dry hire, delivery and collection, or full install with on-site technicians depending on the scale and complexity of your event.

Can you supply backup or redundant power?

Yes – for critical events we can provide backup generators, split loads, or redundancy planning to minimise downtime risk.

How do I get a quote for event power hire?

Pricing depends on generator size, duration, distribution, delivery and support. Send your event details via our contact form and we’ll put together a tailored power solution.
